Is it possible to include a humane approach to the loss of individuals inside the context of a catastrophe? When
faced with a major loss of lives, media coverage tends to dehumanize the victims by blocking any information on
their identities. This generates a social narrative of such events being away from the individual passings
contained in it. ¨27 shadows, 33 wander the sunken mermaid¨ aims towards filling this lack of individual identities
with the possibilities of generative intelligences more and more able to replicate and embody seemingly human
experiences.
